Choreographer Charged With Sexual Assault

Choreographer Charged With Sexual Assault
Sexual assault charges have been brought against Alex Da Silva, a choreographer well known for his salsa and Latin dance work on the Fox show "So You Think You Can Dance." The charges stem from allegations made by at least four women who accused Da Silva of luring them to his home and assaulting them. The alleged assaults occurred over a period of six years.
Da Silva was arrested at the EDGE Performing Arts Center in Hollywood while teaching a dance class. Da Silva also teaches at the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, three of the assaults occurred in North Hollywood, while the most recent assault occurred in Van Nuys. He is being held on a $3.8 million dollar bond and is considered a flight risk. Police are still investigating other potential assaults that may have occurred.
