LA County Man Held For Attempted Murder, Robbery, Carjacking
Authorities in Southern California have charged a man arrested at Disneyland last month with nine felonies after linking him to a 10-city crime spree that spanned cities in Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura counties. The suspect faces charges of attempted murder, carjacking, home invasion, robbery, burglary, identity theft, causing serious injury to a peace officer, resisting arrest and bank robbery.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is holding the suspect, Anthony Hislar of Monrovia, on a $3.4 million bond in the medical facility at the Los Angeles County Jail while he recovers from injuries he sustained during his arrest. According to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman, the suspect's methamphetamine use motivated his violent behavior. Hislar will be arraigned when he has sufficiently recovered.
