Victorville Lender Robbed At Gunpoint

A Victorville quick loan business was robbed at gunpoint last week by a man who entered just after the business had opened. The well-dressed man entered the Advance America in the Vons shopping center and asked for an application. When the employee looked up, she saw the suspect pointing a gun at her. He ordered her to open the safe, which she did. After taking an undisclosed sum from the safe, he ordered her to empty the cash drawers at the front counter. After ordering the woman to kneel on the floor, the robber escaped in an unknown direction.

Witnesses at other businesses in the center said they saw two men, one of whom matched the description of the robber, loitering around the Advance America shortly before the robbery occurred.
