LA Man Arrested In Cousin's Street Racing Death
A Los Angeles man was arrested in connection with the street-racing death of his cousin. Erin Mua, Jr., was arrested at the scene of the accident on Alondra Boulevard after the early morning race came to an abrupt end in Norwalk. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says that the pair began racing about 6:00 am and reached speeds of up to 100 mph.
Lee Liu Chan, 25, ran a red light and swerved to avoid another vehicle. His vehicle crashed into a light pole and Chan was killed instantly. Mua turned himself in at the scene and is awaiting arraignment at the Bellflower Superior Court on charges of gross vehicular manslaughter.
